Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 Alert

The Alameda County Clerk-Recorder's Office has been closely monitoring advice from the County's Public Health Department related to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak. Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020 and until further notice, the Clerk-Recorder Office buildings will not be open for public access. However, essential Clerk-Recorder functions will continue to be provided utilizing online orders, mail, and a drop-box located outside of our Main Office at 1106 Madison St. in Oakland, CA 94607.

- Certified Copies of Official Public Records (Recorded Documents) Online, by mail or drop-box located at 1106 Madison St., Oakland, CA 94607
- Issuance of Online Marriage Licenses and Virtual Marriage Ceremonies pursuant to Executive Order N-58-20 (Click here for instruction packet) *** Due to a high demand for marriage licensing services, please expect a delay in processing your application.
