Note: If necessary, touch the Status bar and drag it down, tap Connected as a media device and then tap Media device to select the check box. On your computer, open Samsung Kies.   1. Install and launch Samsung Kies 3 on your PC.
  2. Connect your phone to the PC with the USB data cable.
  3. If there’s new firmware, you will see a prompt to ask you if you want to upgrade.
  4. Click Update.
  5. Next, select I have read all of the above information, and then click Start upgrade.
  6. When the upgrade is in progress, remember not to disconnect the data cable or press any buttons on the phone.
